Charles Jackson spoke on Cancer Society, cheerleaders, Taormina Industries, the Cooley House, <br />Police Chief Lunsford, Acting Fire Chief Hendrix and Assistant City Manager Parrish and <br />commissioners. <br />Steve Anderson spoke on Allan Steward settlement, term limits and Taormina industries, litigation and <br />judicial process. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: COMMENTS, INTER -GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY <br />REPORTS, INFORMATION SESSION: <br />CM Cook announced her appointment to the National League of Cities. <br />CM Sanders reported on Constituency Group Meeting of the League of California Cities. <br />Mayor Gaytan spoke about the Search for Common Ground, a national program, to assist teens, and <br />the seminar set for March 13'hand 14'h. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: City Manager. <br />City Manager Garcia indicated tonight's meeting would be adjourned to Saturday, February 21, 1998. <br />Item 7 was pulled for separate vote. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />(2) Minutes - Approved for Regular Council Meeting held February 03, 1998. <br />(3) Warrants - Approval of Payroll Warrants Register, dated 2/10/98, #183485 to #183837, <br />Totaling $411,783.93. <br />(4) Claims - Denied claims against the City submitted by Peter and Yvonne Teter, Jack Lewis, <br />Raymond & Rita Galvan, Daniel Acosta, Ruben Aguilar Ceja and Carmen Villanueva. <br />(5) laislation - Opposed the "Government Cost Savings and Taxpayer Protection Amendment" <br />initiative, RESOLUTION NO. R-11-98. <br />(6) Water/Wastewater/Stormwater - Approved additional costs in the amount of $82,975 for the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant's Digester No. 3, RESOLUTION R-12-98. <br />(7) Bid - PULLED FOR SEPARATE VOTE Re -affirm the award bid to Krieger & Stewart in <br />the amount of $700,000 for Construction Management. [Item No. 12, Agenda 2/3/981 <br />(8) Streets - Approved amending Resolution No. 2119 to include additional through streets and <br />stop intersections, RESOLUTION NO.
