' (2) Minutes - Approved Minutes for the Regular Meeting held November 3, 1998, on file in <br />the Office of the City Clerk. <br />(3) Warrants - Approval of Payable Warrants #20066 to #20346, dated 10/22/98, totaling <br />$698,243.04; Payable Warrants #20347 to #20478, dated 10/29/98 totaling $555,232.72; <br />Payroll Warrants #190490 to #190852, dated 11/3/98, totaling $431,794.65 Payable <br />Warrants #20479 to #20724, dated 11/5/98, totaling $1,140,783.68, on file in the Finance <br />Department. <br />(4) Claims - Denied Claims against the City submitted by Gregory Felix Resendez, Phillip <br />Kassel, and Raguel Osnaya. <br />(5) Human Resource/Fire - Approved request for recruitment and ratification of employee <br />appointment to the full-time position of Battalion Chief in the Fire Department. <br />(6) Trac_ t Man - Authorized final approval and acceptance of Tract Map 15165 (Young <br />Homes, Meridian Avenue at Visconti Drive) and authorized- the release of Performance <br />Bonds upon receipt of 10 % Maintenance Bonds. <br />(7) Bid - PULLED FOR DISCUSSION: Approve Award of Contract for the 1998/99 <br />Pavement Rehabilitation Project to Lowest Responsible Bidder (Matich Corporation.) <br />Discussion had regarding the poor condition of Washington Street from Cooley Drive to <br />Waterman and there was a question as to the sufficiency of the $10,000 bond for this <br />project. CM/Public Works Director Hutton reported on the overlay program. City <br />Manager Garcia said he would work closely with the Public Works Director and return, <br />next meeting, with an informational item on (1) how the City Engineer estimated a <br />particular job and costs and (2) how a bid bond cost to cover the particular project was <br />developed. <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM Sanders/Bennett to approve staff's <br />recommendation carried Upon unanimous vote. <br />(8) Notice of Completion - PULLED AND CONTINUED TO NEXT MEETING: Approve <br />the Final Acceptance of the CFD 89-1 Cooley Drive and Washington Street Landscape <br />Medians Project and Authorize the Recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br />(9) Utilities Approved customer mailing of U.S. Department of Energy booklet, "Energy <br />Savers Tips on Saving Energy & Money at Rome." <br />(10) MOU - Approved Memoranda of Understanding between the City of Colton, and General <br />Unit and Management Confidential Unit, RESOLUTION NOS.
