District 2: <br />CM DeLaRosa asked if the area described by Mr. Luna had been investigated and City Manager <br />Garcia responded. To inquiry received from the Citrus Street residents, east of Johnston, CM <br />DeLaRosa informed that the Police Department would be present to monitor the speed of traffic <br />traveling east and west on Citrus Street. <br />District : <br />CM Chastain welcomed Peter Piper Pizza. She reported that she met with commissioners and <br />referred to a major project meeting through SANBAG. She thanked staff for their work on Ken <br />Hubbs field and mentioned the Business Summit. <br />District 4: <br />CM Cook reported on the National League of Cities leadership training seminars she attended on <br />March 5-9, in Washington D. C. She announced the Chamber of Commerce's March Mixer for <br />March 17' at the Colton Museum and announced the second edition of "The Crossroads." She <br />noted that the seniors at Luque Center collected $600 at a recent breakfast fundraiser. <br />District 6: <br />CM Grimsby said the turn -outs at Palm and Litton Streets had been rescheduled for March 23'. <br />CM Grimsby asked for a donation of 23 acres of land for a park for District 6. He said money <br />was available to purchase park equipment but there was no money to purchase the land. <br />District 5: <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett said her work at school would keep her from attending the Ribbon <br />Cutting Ceremony but she would be present at the Business Summit. She reported graffiti on the <br />outer wall, facing the freeway, and asked that it be painted one color. She invited participation in <br />KOLA'S pop -top fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House. <br />INFORMATIONAL <br />ABI 194 ERAF <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM Sanders/Cook to approve a letter of support for <br />AB1194 ERAF carried with no opposition by Council. Mayor Gaytan was absent. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />CM Garcia pulled Item 17 for separate vote. Items Nos. 7 and 15 were pulled for discussion <br />prior to vote. <br />Item No. 7 - If the project was deemed completed, the question posed was what standing the City <br />had to ask for subsequent improvements. ACM Parrish said that in response to a complaint <br />regarding pooling water in the area, a survey was conducted and the problem was identified and it <br />was determined that the pooling of the water was not the contractor's fault. <br />City Council Mtg.
