CM Chastain and CM Grimsby were absent. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following persons voiced community concerns: Ann Kolman, Tony M. Perez, Stan Stosel, <br />Nate Green, Fred Cordova and David Peterman. Staff was directed to liaison with the City of <br />San Bernardino to address traffic problems at Randall and Macy and Mill Streets. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />It was noted that CM Chastain had returned to her place on the dais; the exact time was not <br />recorded. <br />Boards and Commissions <br />Apwintment: Cemetery Commission <br />CM Bennett nominated Mr. Terry Dorman to the Cemetery Commission. <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM Chastain/Mayor Gaytan to add the item to the agenda <br />as it was properly noticed and the appointment was necessary and to ratify the appointment of <br />Terry Dorman to the Cemetery Commission. Motion carried with CM Grimsby absent. <br />Contmentaa: <br />District 4: <br />CM Cook reported receiving numerous complaints and strongly urged fellow Members to start <br />meetings on time. She spoke on the boxing club's open house; the recent meeting of the East <br />Valley Coalition hosted by Colton; the Colton Fire Department pinning ceremony; the relocation <br />of the Morris House and the Woman's Club successful dinner. <br />District 3: <br />CM Chastain commented on CDBG Max Lofy Project; the Peter Piper Pizza opening; Heritage <br />Days Celebration including a car show on April 24'. She reported potholes on "B" and 10' and <br />13' Street north of "C" Street. She described the make-up of the East Valley Coalition and the <br />purpose of the group. <br />District 2: <br />CM DeLaRosa spoke on the Cemetery issue and the intent of the Council to remain in control of <br />the Cemetery and assured it was not a sale. He encouraged participation of residents in the <br />Citizens Patrol Program; suggested Staff report on the level of citizen participation for the <br />services funded by CDBG; and, the success of a recent town hall meeting. <br />District 1: <br />CM Sanders announced a community meeting at the Colton Ranch on March 3rd at the Johnson <br />home and a community meeting on March 10th at the Thompson residence at Cantara to <br />announce that the brick wall was finished.
