With consensus of Council, City Staff was <br />directed to do a cost analysis and feasibility study. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Dick Mosher, Colton resident, spoke about truck traffic on Rancho and asked about the ordinance <br />and signs. He said there was a need for sidewalks on Rancho Avenue. Police Captain <br />Heusterberg indicated that citations could not be issued or enforced until the signs are posted. <br />City Manager Garcia said the truck ordinance would not be in effect until this Thursday and that <br />citations would be issued on Friday. Because the signs had to be printed, he said the signs would <br />be up by the middle of December. City Manager Garcia informed that the City will be working <br />with the County Supervisors on a Missing Links program around the high school and asked Mr. <br />Mosher for the exact areas. Mr. Mosher stated it was the 1600 to 1700 on Rancho, between <br />Citrus and Johnson, on the West Side. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: Comments, Inter -Governmental Agency reports, <br />Information Session and Action Items: <br />Comments: <br />District 1: CM Sanders asked Staff to review Senate Bill 430 regarding Code Enforcement and <br />collection of fees. <br />District 2: CM DeLaRosa asked Code Enforcement for an aggressive pick-up of political signs <br />on Rancho, Mt. Vernon and the Cooley Ranch area. City Manager Garcia said that after the <br />waiting period the City removes the signs and the appropriate person is charged. CM DeLaRosa <br />said 8th street was severely damaged by industries in that area and there was great need for a <br />street overlay. He inquired about the purchase of a piece of equipment to repair potholes. City <br />Manager Garcia said the item had not been purchased but that Staff was putting together <br />specifications. Purchasing Coordinator Mary Milroy explained that information provided by <br />Public Works had been reviewed, that the item could be piggybacked onto another City's bid and <br />the item would be presented to Council on December 7�. <br />District 4 - CM Cook spoke about the Home Tour (tickets at $10), the Christmas Parade and <br />Street Fair. She announced the Annual Christmas Home Decorating contest for December 13th. <br />She informed that OmniTrans was conducting a Smart Shuttle study. to determine the City's <br />needs. She thanked Randy Rivera for replacing the San Salvador Church Sign. She commented <br />on the repainting of the Baptist Church. <br />District 6: CM Grimsby thanked employees for assisting him on various projects and he thanked <br />Public Works Director Hutton for repairs of the Agua Mansa area. He asked for "Children at <br />Play" signs for all of the Rancho Med entrances. He asked for trashcans near OmniTrans <br />benches at the Sassy Steer and Carl's Jr. CM Cook informed that OmniTrans would be placing <br />new bus shelters and trash cans all about town. He spoke about a request to do something about <br />taggers at the Roquet property and to remove trash at Berkeley Court as well as the Agua Mansa <br />Road.
