District I - CM Sanders reported that American AirCarrier Support Inc. signed their agreement to <br />locate in the SBIA. <br />District 2 - CM DeLaRosa requested Staff to inspect the signal lights at Pennsylvania and Mill <br />Street because traffic backed up over the Mill Street Bridge into San Bernardino. <br />District 3 - CM Chastain spoke about doing interviews for Career Day at the High School; the <br />Valentine's Day celebration at the Senior Center and the park and ride funding of $500,000, for <br />alternative fuel vehicles, received from SANBAG. <br />District 4 - CM Cook spoke about interviews for Career Day at the High School; the completion <br />of the remodeling, funded by CDBG funds, at the Luque Center; the highly successful Senior <br />Valentine Day Dances at Hutton and Luque Centers; and, the proposed New Tech Park at SBIA. <br />District 6 - CM Grimsby referred to a problem at the Key Street and Center Street area that was <br />quickly solved by Captain Heusterberg and Staff. He spoke about the grand opening of Giant <br />RV. <br />District 5 - Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett asked for a change of light on the Mohave Drive sign. <br />Seeing many travel requests by the same persons on the Consent Calendar, she suggested creation <br />of a policy limiting attendance to two conferences per year, or a dollar amount per year. She <br />announced that SANBAG allocated $400,000 for traffic mitigation at Reche Canyon Road. <br />BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />District 3 Appointments <br />MOTION/VOTE: Following nominations by CM Chastain, motion/second by CM <br />Cook/DeLaRosa to ratify the appointments of Pilar Tabera to the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission and John Mendoza to the Code Enforcement and Housing Advisory Board, carried <br />with Mayor Gaytan absent. <br />At Large Appointment, Albiso, Civil Service Board <br />As Mayor Gaytan was absent due to illness, Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett continued the item to <br />the next meeting. <br />ACTION ITEM: <br />SBIAA <br />Finance Director Al Holliman stated that the City of Colton owed $30,600, to SBIAA, as <br />payment of three invoices due for the months of October, November and December.
