City Manager Daryl Parrish addressed code enforcement issues with tenants at Harbor <br />��- Reche Canyon Apartments. City Attorney Carvalho stated that the matter was being <br />researched and could not be discussed at this time and further noted that the item was not <br />properly agendized. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Member Comments: <br />The following topics were addressed by the Members: Transformer replacements; status <br />of the complaint system to be agendized for next meeting; city receptionist position <br />researched; street improvements; street lights; parking; CalTrans 1-10; SANBAG; summer <br />concert series; future workshops; and, town hall meetings. <br />BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS: <br />None. <br />ACTION ITEM: <br />George E. Brown Jr. Park Improvements. <br />Director Ron Kenny summarized the agenda report of August 7, 2001, and after <br />discussion, staff was directed to use an amount from the remaining $7,000 in the Medical <br />' center fund for a feasibility study to include the design and cost estimates for the addition <br />of a community/teen center and any other additional improvements at George E. Brown, <br />Jr. Park. <br />Council Workshop <br />After discussion, members were directed to review calendars and provide executive <br />assistant with potential workshop dates to be announced at the Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting of August 14, 2001. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />Item No. 16 - .CM Parrish submitted Resolution No. R -69A-01 for consideration. <br />Items Nos. 11 thru 16_ were pulled to be acted upon after closed session. <br />Item No. 22 — There was discussion on whether the school district was putting up a portion <br />of the monies to be spent; on whether one or two councilmembers could be part of the <br />committee; on the response to the RFQ; the use for CIP funds; and the need for funds <br />from other sources. <br />Item No. 24 — After discussion on hiring additional staff, weekend staff, assignments and <br />overtime pay, the item was pulled for action following Closed Session. <br />City Council Mins August 7, 2001 4 <br />
