the City and the Agency as Lead Agency for the Formation of a New Project <br />Area, which Includes an Unincorporated County Area. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />(16) Proposal by the Colton Chamber of Commerce to City Council to Reaffirm <br />Partnership with the City and Redefine the Services most Beneficial to both <br />Entities and Formulate a 3 -year Business Plan. <br />Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jean Krisle presented an overview of the <br />affect of current Budget cuts to the Chamber of Commerce. She also outlined the <br />functions of the Chamber of Commerce. <br />CM Chastain stated that Council needs to be better connected with the businesses and <br />the City and the Chamber of Commerce need to work together to try to come up with a <br />solution. <br />City Manager Parrish stated that the money will not come from that Redevelopment <br />Agency as they have been hit hard and probably will be cut again. He stated that it can <br />not be like prior years where the City issued a check every year to the Chamber and the <br />need to determine what the Chamber of Commerce can do for the City. City Manager <br />Parrish also stated that the City and the Chamber of Commerce are partners in good <br />and bad. <br />Mayor Bennett stated that the City Manager and the Chamber of Commerce need to <br />work together to come up with a plan and directed staff to present an alternative for the <br />January 7, 2003, Regular Council Meeting. <br />STAFF REPORTS: <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Mayor Bennett expressed a desire to postpone Item No. 17 and Item No. 18, as to two <br />(2) Councilmembers who were absent would like to be present to approve the items. <br />City Manager Parrish responded that Item No. 18 can be continued, however Item No. <br />17 should move forward, but it is Council's decision. <br />Discussion with no opposition to discuss Item No(s). 17 and 18. <br />(17) Approve and Adopt a Proposed Resolution Amending Consolidated Salary <br />Resolution No. R-56-01 to include Current Salary Ranges; Retitled Positions; <br />Reclassification Series; Reclassified Positions; and, Recommended that the <br />Salary Increases be Approved Effective January 1, 2002, RESOLUTION NO. R- <br />144-02. <br />Human Resources Director Teresa Delgado presented Resolution No. R-144-02 for <br />consideration and approval of staff's recommendation. <br />RECESS: <br />2002 December 17 CC/RDA/CUA/SCPFA Mtng.
