Cross Walks <br />Police Dept./Positive Comments <br />BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS: <br />None made. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />Graffiti <br />Senior Health Fair <br />City Attorney Derleth announced there was a late breaking item; the item arose subsequent to <br />the posting of the agenda, the American Legion Post #155 and the Veteran's of Foreign Wars <br />Post #6475 requested the use of Fleming Park, and the closure of La Cadena Drive from "O" <br />Street to "D" Street for the Annual Veteran's Day Parade and after posting of agenda this <br />request required approval for upcoming event program on Monday, November 11, 2002, to be <br />known as Item 12A of the Consent Calendar. <br />Motion/second by CM Zamora/CM Hernandez to add the late breaking item to be known as Item <br />12A. <br />City Manager Parrish presented Consent Calendar Item No.(s) 3 through 12A for approval. <br />Motion/second by CM De La Rosa/CM Hernandez to approve Consent Calendar Items No.(s) 3 <br />through 12A with Item No. 4 to be pulled for a separate vote. Unanimous vote. <br />(4) No Parking Areas - Approved and Adopted Resolution Authorizing the Restriction of <br />Vehicle Parking along Mt. Vernon Avenue between Fairway Drive and La Cadena Drive, <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-125-02. <br />CM Ramos agrees with the restriction of parking on Mt. Vernon between Fairway Dr. and La <br />Cadena, however she is not in agreement to proceed with the bike lane at this time, due to the <br />confusion of the new striping and medians. CM Ramos requested that the recommendation be <br />changed to exclude the bike lane project. <br />CM Chastain agrees with the change in staff recommendation and would like to see the signs in <br />the medium lowered to enable headlights to hit them in the evening. <br />Motion/second by CM De La Rosa/CM Ramos to approve Resolution No. R-125-02 with the <br />changes to exclude the bike lane project. Unanimous vote. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />(3) Warrants — Approved Payable Warrants #53162 to #53319, dated 10/10/02, Totaling <br />$621,246.75; Payroll Warrants #232767 to #233302, dated 10/16/02, Totaling <br />$623,500.65, as recommended by the Finance Director, on file in the Finance <br />Department. <br />(4) No Parking Areas - Approved and Adopted Resolution Authorizing the Restriction of <br />Vehicle Parking along Mt.
