At 6:27 p.m. Mayor Pro Tempore Chastain announced a recess and at 6:47 p.m. the meeting <br />was reconvened with all members present heretofore. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following citizens addressed the Council: Bill Miller, Walter Almendarez, Charles Jackson, <br />Mr. Rosales. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Topics addressed by Council included: <br />➢ Water Discoloration <br />➢ Street Sweeping/Posting Signs <br />➢ Meridian Catch Basin <br />➢ Train Issue/Horn Blowing <br />➢ Dumping/Agus Mansa <br />➢ Street Improvements/Walters/ <br />Vermont/Fir <br />➢ District 2 Clean Up/Monroe <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />➢ Budget Committee Meeting <br />➢ Paving Alleyways; Newsletter <br />➢ Rich Dauer Park Improvements <br />➢ Ground Breaking/Electric Generation <br />Plant. <br />➢ SANBAG Update <br />Grade Separation Improvements. <br />CM DeLaRosa requested that Item No. 9 be pulled forward due to the number of people in the <br />audience, including children and senior citizens. With no objection the item was pulled forward. <br />STAFF REPORTS: <br />PARKS, RECREATION AND FAMILY SERVICES REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Rename Colton Community Center/Gymnasium <br />Parks, Recreation and Family Services Director Ron Kenny presented an overview and <br />requested approval of staff's recommendation. <br />The following citizens addressed the Council in favor of renaming of Colton Community Center: <br />Cynthia Ramirez (Gonzalez), Raymond Roa, Andrew Ibarra and Arnold Medina. <br />Discussion by Council followed expressing considerations and concerns regarding the renaming <br />of the Colton Community Center. <br />Motion/second by CM Ramos/De La Rosa to approve and adopt a Resolution renaming the <br />Colton Community Center to the Frank Gonzales Community Center.
