CM Mitchell asked why those particular streets were chosen. City Manager Parrish responded <br />that the Pavement Management list which ranks the streets in the order of need and there are <br />also streets in areas which are CDBG census tracks and these particular streets qualify for <br />CDBG funding. <br />CM Zamora asked if once there is a new designated project area will the funds be available for <br />that area. City Manager responded yes. <br />CM DeLaRosa stated that Walters, Monroe, Fur, Pennsylvania and Mill Streets are listed for <br />improvements and asked if the 2100 block of Pennsylvania and the 500 block of Fur would be <br />included in the funding or will it only be included in the design. City Engineer stated that the <br />2100 block of Pennsylvania and the 500 block of Fur Street will be included in the construction. <br />CM DeLaRosa asked if they are not in the Staff Report will they be covered. City Engineer <br />responded that yes the additional two (2) streets will be covered. <br />CM DeLaRosa requested that the record reflect that the 2100 block of Pennsylvania Street and <br />the 500 block of Fur Street will be included in the improvement project. <br />Motion/second by CM Hernandez/Zamora to terminate the Public Hearing. Motion carried with <br />Mayor Bennett/CM Chastain/Ramos absent. <br />Motion/second by CM Hernandez/Zamora to approve and adopt Resolution No. R-22-03. <br />Motion carried with Mayor Bennett/CM Chastain/Ramos absent. <br />ORDINANCE <br />First Reading: <br />(2) Waive Full Reading and Pass First Reading of an Ordinance to Amend Colton Municipal <br />Code Pertaining to CFD Commission Powers and Duties by Including Responsibility for <br />the City's Landscape Lighting & Maintenance Districts, ORDINANCE NO. NO. 0-02-03. <br />Parks, Recreation and Family Services Director Ron Kenny presented a brief overview and <br />requested approval of staff's recommendation. <br />Discussion and motion/second by CM Hernandez/DeLaRosa to waive full reading and pass the <br />first reading of Ordinance No. 0-02-03.
