Section 1806.1 is amended by adding 'The Building Official may approve <br />an owner -builder design of a #4 steel reinforcing bars top and bottom to be <br />run continuously in the footings of an exempt structure." <br />N. Section 504.6.1 <br />For the purpose of this section area separation walls shall not be defined <br />as separate buildings. <br />0. Section 904.2.11 of the California Code is added to read as follows: <br />"1. Automatic fire sprinkler systems shall be installed in all new <br />structures with a total floor area over 5,000 square feet. <br />2. Existing buildings or structures which are hereafter remodeled, <br />rebuilt, or renovated where such area increase exceeds fifty <br />percent (50%) of the original square footage, as determined by the <br />San Bernardino County Tax Assessor, or 5,000 square feet, <br />whichever occurs first, shall have an approved automatic fire <br />sprinkler system installed throughout therein." <br />P. Table 33-A is deleted. <br />Q. Table 33-B is deleted. <br />The following changes are made to the "Uniform Plumbing Code", 1994 Edition: <br />A. Section 701.1.2 is amended by adding 'The Building Official may require <br />non -corrosive drainage piping in buildings discharging potentially acidic <br />liquids. " <br />B. "Section 604.1 California Plumbing Code to allow the use of C.P.V.C. <br />piping within buildings for hot and cold water distribution." <br />The following changes are made to the "National Electrical Code", 1993 Edition: <br />A. Article 110-5 is changed to read: <br />"Conductors normally used to carry currents shall be of copper. The <br />material and the sizes given in this code shall apply to copper conductors." <br />B.
