Based on the entire record before the City Council, all
written and oral evidence presented to the City Council, and the findings set forth in
this Ordinance, the City Council of the City of Colton hereby designates the Subject
Site as within the R-1 (Single Family Residential) zoning district as defined in Title 18,
Chapter 18.12 of the Colton Municipal Code.
SECTION 2. Based on the entire record before the City Council and all
written and oral evidence presented, the City Council finds the Zone Change is
consistent with the General Plan of the City of Colton because designation of the
Subject Site within the R-1 (Single Family Residential) zoning district provides for
land uses compatible with the proposed low density residential land use classification
for the Subject Site. Further, designating the Subject Site from a commercial zoning
classification to R-1 will increase the availability of land to meet the region's housing
needs and will be consistent with the goals and policies of the City's Housing
Element
SECTION 3. Based on the entire record before the City Council and all
written and oral evidence presented, the City Council finds the Zone Change is
RIVPUB\DRD\617733
2
