Section 904.2.11 is added to the California Building Code to read as <br />follows: <br />(1) Automatic fire sprinkler systems shall be installed in all new <br />structures with a total floor area over 5,000 square feet. <br />(2) Existing buildings or structures which are hereafter <br />remodeled, rebuilt, or renovated where such area increase exceeds fifty percent (50%) <br />of the original square footage, as determined by the San Bernardino County Tax <br />Assessor, or 5,000 square feet, whichever occurs first, shall have an approved <br />automatic fire sprinkler system installed throughout therein. <br />4. Section 1615 of the California Building Code is amended to provide <br />that the wind stagnation pressure is adopted as equal to 12.6 pounds per square foot at <br />70 mph on buildings and 25.6 pounds per square foot at 100 mph on pole and sign <br />structures as set forth in Table No. 16-F, or those over 15" in height. <br />5. Section 1617 of the California Building Code is amended by adding <br />the following to the list of symbols and notations: <br />Exposure C is adopted for determination of the combined Height, <br />Exposure and Gust Factor Coefficient Ce. <br />6. Section 1626.2 of the California Building Code is amended by <br />adding the following as its last sentence: <br />The City is located within the Seismic Zone 4. <br />7. Section 1805 of the California Building Code is amended to include <br />the following as its second paragraph: <br />"The Building Official may accept an allowable foundation pressure <br />of 1,000 pounds per square foot and an allowable lateral pressure of 100 pounds per <br />square foot for engineered residential projects (other than tract homes), and for minor <br />structural works (cost not exceeding 30% of the existing structure valuation) for <br />nonresidential tenant improvements, where the appointed registered engineer or <br />architect finds it adequate without a soil report." <br />8.
