The City of Colton deems it necessary to <br />form an improvement district of a portion of the City as herein- <br />after described in connection with its proposed acquisition of <br />the James Sullivan Mutual Water Company. This portion of the <br />City is to be known as "Improvement District 'A' of the City of <br />Colton". The purposes for which the proposed improvement district <br />is to be formed is to facilitate the acquisition of the James <br />Sullivan Mutual Water Company by the City of Colton and to <br />establish a fiscal structure to repay the loan from the State of <br />California used to upgrade the Sullivan Water System. <br />Section 2. The estimated expense of carrying out <br />such purpose is Three Hundred Eight -Nine Thousand One Hundred <br />Eighty -Five Dollars and Twenty -Five Cents ($389,185.25). <br />Section 3. Taxes for carrying out said purposes <br />shall be levied exclusively upon the taxable property in the <br />proposed improvement district. <br />Section 4. A map showing the exterior boundaries of <br />proposed Improvement District "A" and the relation of the <br />territory immediately continguous thereto is on file with this <br />City Clerk and is available for inspection by any person or <br />persons interested.
