1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />I <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />Facilities District the proposition with respect to the annual <br />levy of special taxes within the Community Facilities District <br />to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds thereof, and <br />the proposition with respect to the establishment of an <br />appropriations limit for the Community Facilities District, and <br />providing for the consolidation of said election with the <br />election on the proposition of incurring a bonded indebtedness <br />for the Community Facilities District; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received a statement from <br />the City Clerk of the City of Colton, who pursuant to Resolution <br />No. R-156-87 was authorized to conduct such consolidated special <br />elections and act as the election official therefor, with <br />respect to the canvass of the ballots returned in and the <br />results of said consolidated special elections, certifying that <br />more than two-thirds of the votes voted upon the propositions <br />submitted to the voters in said consolidated special elections <br />were in favor of all such propositions; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED <br />BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Findings. The City Council finds that: <br />(i) there were two (2) registered voters residing within the <br />boundaries of the Community Facilities District at the time of <br />the close of the protest hearing, and pursuant to Section 53326 <br />of the California Government Code, the vote in said consolidated <br />special elections was, therefore, to be by the landowners owning <br />land within the Community Facilities District, with each land- <br />owner having one vote for each acre or portion thereof of land <br />that he or she owns within the Community Facilities District; <br />-2- <br />
