Page No. 66
f. Units covered by the CEC Air Conditioner Directory and not
listed in the latest edition of the CEC Air Conditioner
Directory will not qualify unless written information is
provided by the CEC that the unit has been State certified.
g. For units in excess of 65,000 btu's per hour capacity, and no
SEER rating is provided in the applicable ARI Directory, and
where only the condensing unit is replaced and the existing
evaporative coil remains in use, the minimum EER rating listed
in the ARI Directory for that unit will be used to determine
the rebate amount.
h. For both lighting and air-conditioning measures, where the
measures are required to meet minimum Title 24 energy
standards, rebates will only be provided to the extent that
the measures exceed minimum Title 24 energy standards. The
purpose of this policy is to not provide rebates for measures
which otherwise would be required to meet Title 24 energy
standards. The City of Colton retains the right to determine
to what extent energy measures are required to meet Title 24
energy standards and to what extent proposed measures exceed
Title 24 energy requirements. The City of Colton also retains
the right to request documentation from the commercial customer
applicant on the extent to which proposed measures exceed
minimum Title 24 energy standards.
III. Program Procedures
A. In order to receive a rebate under this program, the applicant must
submit a fully completed application to the City of Colton Electric
Utility prior to the installation of measures. Upon receipt of a
fully completed application the City of Colton Electric Utility will
set aside all available funds which may be required to meet the
rebate amount requested.
B. Upon receipt of a completed application, a representative from the
City of Colton Electric Utility will conduct an on-site pre -
inspection to determine the existing air-conditioning and/or lighting
system.
C. Upon the completion of the pre -inspection, the City of Colton
Electric Utility will inform the commercial customer applicant of
the approval of the rebate application.
ISSUED BY
Gale A. Drews Effective by Resolution No. R-2-91 Dated 1/3/91
Electric Utilities
Director
