BOX 1320 REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA 92373 TELEPHONE (909) 793-0816 PLEASE REFER TO The purpose of this letter is to set forth the basis upon which Brunick, Alvarez & Battersby (the "Law Firm") will undertake to represent the City of Colton (the "City") as its general legal counsel in matters referred to the Law Firm by City Attorney Julie Hayward Biggs, as such matters are referred from time to time in Ms. Biggs' sole and absolute discretion. h. 4,,,1. Services to be Performed by City Attorney: We understand that Julie Hayward Biggs ("Biggs") shall serve as the appointed City Attorney and shall serve in such capacity until such appointment is terminated upon thirty days written notice by either the City or Biggs. 2. Services to be Performed by the Law Firm: The Law Firm shall serve as general legal counsel to the City pursuant to Resolution R-60-93 and Biggs shall refer such matters to the Law Firm on an as -needed basis as she, in her sole discretion, deems appropriate for handling by the Law Firm. 3. Attornevs' Fees: In consideration of the legal services rendered for general legal counsel the City shall pay to the Law Firm an hourly rate of $105 per hour for senior attorneys (partners and associates with five or more years admittance to the bar), $90 per hour for all other attorneys, and $75 per hour for paralegals and law clerks.
