2. One year final compensation <br />3. Military buyback <br />Other benefits provided for safety members include: <br />1. 2% at age 50 formula <br />2. One year final compensation <br />3. Military buyback <br />4. Post -Retirement Survivor Allowance <br />P.E.R.S. Final year conversion - Employees may choose to <br />have the 7% employee contribution (9% for safety employees) paid <br />to the employee as salary in the last year before retirement with <br />the employee then being responsible for paying their share of <br />P.E.R.S. Employees may likewise choose to have their sick leave <br />and/or vacation time accrued during their final year of <br />employment converted to salary. Both such actions shall be on a <br />prospective basis only in the form of a written request to the <br />Finance Department. The effective date may be delayed if lengthy <br />P.E.R.S. contract amendment procedures are necessary. This <br />provision is based on the City obtaining written confirmation <br />from P.E.R.S. that these options are still available to P.E.R.S. <br />employees. <br />Section 3: <br />A. Overtime <br />Overtime <br />The following classifications are designated as exempt: <br />SUB -STATION SUPERINTENDENT <br />TRANSMISSION/DISTRIBUTION SUPERINTENDENT <br />The above classifications shall earn overtime pursuant to <br />the same overtime provisions set forth in the Electric Unit MOU. <br />Those provisions are hereby incorporated by reference. There <br />shall be no pyramiding of overtime. Hours worked by an employee <br />in any workday, workweek or work period on which premium rates <br />have once been allowed shall not be used again in any other <br />overtime calculation other than computing total actual hours <br />worked. <br />B. City Vehicle Use <br />Employees who are provided with a City vehicle to travel to <br />and from their regular work site shall not be compensated in any <br />manner whatsoever for such travel time in the City vehicle. No <br />employee will be allowed to take a City vehicle home if the <br />distance is greater than 15 miles one way. <br />MIC M01 - 1993 <br />GR7:KD 070893 -5- <br />
