be credited with two hours at the overtime rate of pay in <br />addition to actual time worked. Actual time shall be <br />calculated from the time an employee receives a call back <br />until the time an employee returns to his/her residence. <br />An employee on call back shall not be eligible for an <br />additional call back bonus of two hours if she/he is <br />dispatched to another call prior to returning to his/her <br />residence. <br />G. Standby Pay <br />An employee on standby may leave a telephone number where <br />he/she may be reached while on standby. An employee shall be <br />able to respond from such phone number within 60 minutes. <br />Alternatively, the City may provide a "beeper" for the <br />employee. <br />Standby pay shall be earned from Thursday at the end of the <br />working day, for a period not to exceed seven days unless <br />extended by holiday. The City shall pay an employee on <br />standby 10 hours straight time of compensatory time. When a <br />City recognized holiday falls during the standby week, the <br />employee shall earn an additional 10 hours straight time of <br />compensatory time per holiday. Such compensatory time shall <br />be used according to Section B above. <br />H. Rest Period <br />An eight hour rest period will be earned after working six <br />continuous hours after a regular shift. Any time worked <br />within 8 hours preceding the start of the regular work week <br />which is part of an emergency call out of 8 continuous hours <br />or longer of actual work time shall be counted towards earning <br />an 8 hour rest period described above. If the rest break is <br />during the regular shift, employees may be sent home but will <br />be paid at the regular rate for that part of the shift that <br />overlaps the rest period. Employees with less than five hours <br />remaining in the regular work shift after the rest period may <br />utilize vacation or compensatory time off for the remainder of <br />the regular shift. Employees required to work during the <br />earned rest break will continue on overtime. <br />Section 4: Acting Pa <br />This section shall be effective immediately following Council <br />adoption of this MOU. <br />Any employee assigned by the Department Head or Superintendent <br />to work in a higher classification for a period of one consecutive <br />hour or more shall receive acting pay.
