I W4 in I 1 10111 W.11 CITY OF COLTON MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BY AND BETWEEN THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL 47 AND THE CITY OF COLTON This document contains a summary of the modifications to the wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment of Colton International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers, local 47 (the Union) members which have been negotiated pursuant to Government Code Section 3500, et seq. which is generally referred to as the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act. These modifications shall be incorporated into the "comprehensive" Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) upon the approval of the City Council of the City of Colton and will be placed into effect upon the adoption of the necessary ordinances and resolutions by the City Council, if acceptable to them, in accordance with the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth. V Year 1. TERM OF AGREEMENT: The agreement will last for a two year period beginning July 15 2000 and ending midnight June 30, 2002. COMPENSATORY TIME: The Union agrees amending the compensatory time language in Article 11, Section 3, Subsection 2 of the MOU as follows: "In lieu of receiving overtime pay pursuant to Section A in the MOU, an employee may elect to receive compensatory time off at the rate of one and one - half (1.5) times the actual hours worked5 including travel time from and to the employee's residence. No employee shall accrue more than 50 hours of such compensatory time. Should any employee exceed 50 hours of accrued compensatory time, he/she shall be paid for all overtime hours worked at the applicable overtime rate. Compensatory time shall be taken in increments of one (1) hour or more. Each employee shall receive 10 hours of compensatory time upon the 10/31/00 Exhibit Elec 00-02.doc Page 1 of 5
