I W4 in I 1 10111 W.11 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BY AND BETWEEN <br />THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL 47 <br />AND <br />THE CITY OF COLTON <br />This document contains a summary of the modifications to the wages, hours and other <br />terms and conditions of employment of Colton International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers, <br />local 47 (the Union) members which have been negotiated pursuant to Government Code Section <br />3500, et seq. which is generally referred to as the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act. These <br />modifications shall be incorporated into the "comprehensive" Memorandum of Understanding <br />(MOU) upon the approval of the City Council of the City of Colton and will be placed into effect <br />upon the adoption of the necessary ordinances and resolutions by the City Council, if acceptable <br />to them, in accordance with the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth. <br />V Year <br />1. TERM OF AGREEMENT: The agreement will last for a two year period beginning July <br />15 2000 and ending midnight June 30, 2002. <br />COMPENSATORY TIME: The Union agrees amending the compensatory time language <br />in Article 11, Section 3, Subsection 2 of the MOU as follows: "In lieu of receiving <br />overtime pay pursuant to Section A in the MOU, an employee may elect to receive <br />compensatory time off at the rate of one and one - half (1.5) times the actual hours <br />worked5 including travel time from and to the employee's residence. No employee shall <br />accrue more than 50 hours of such compensatory time. Should any employee exceed 50 <br />hours of accrued compensatory time, he/she shall be paid for all overtime hours worked <br />at the applicable overtime rate. Compensatory time shall be taken in increments of one <br />(1) hour or more.
