effective date of this agreement. Compensatory time will continue to be accrued at time <br />and a half, rather than double time. <br />VACATION: The Union agrees to amending the vacation language in Article IV, <br />Section 1, Subsection 2 of the MOU as follows: "Vacation time shall be taken in <br />increments of ten (10) hours or more. The Department Head may approve applications <br />for vacation that exceed the number of accrued whole days up to the number of days that <br />will be accrued up to and during the vacation and any compensatory time taken in <br />conjunction with the vacation time." <br />IV. SICK LEAVE BUY BACK: The City agrees to buy back 40 hours per year of sick leave <br />at 120% of the regular rate of pay on the first payday in December. Employees must <br />have used less than 51 hours of accrued sick leave during that calendar year to be eligible <br />for this buy back. Employees must have a minimum balance of 40 hours of sick leave as <br />of the last payday in November to be eligible for this benefit. <br />V. OVERTIME: The City agrees to paying for all overtime at a double time rate, with the <br />exception regarding compensatory time above. <br />VI. REORGANIZATION PLAN: The Union agrees to a classification re -organization plan <br />as detailed in the attached salary resolution. <br />VIL PARITY LANGUAGE: The City and the Union agree to the following language: The <br />City agrees that during the term of this Memorandum of Understanding it will attempt not <br />to enter into any agreement, whether written or otherwise, with any other bargaining unit <br />or employee group in the City that obligates the City to provide any monetary or non - <br />monetary benefit based upon any provision in this MOU or any benefit, salary or <br />otherwise, received by members of this Union. The intent of this provision is to eliminate <br />any ties between the salary and/or benefits received by members of this bargaining group <br />and those received by members of any other bargaining group in the City.
