R-06-01 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMNUSSION OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON RECOMNIENDING TO THE COLTON <br />CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF A GENERAL PLAN <br />AMENDMENT, ZONE CHANGE AND ADOPTION OF A <br />NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR FILE INDEX NO. DGZ-35- <br />01 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton Planning Commission (the "Planning <br />Commission") held a public hearing on July 10, 2001, after giving notice of the proposed general <br />plan amendment and zone change; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that the general plan land <br />use and zoning designation of properties generally located along the North and South Side of <br />Fairway Drive, between the San Bernardino County Flood Control Channel east to Colton City <br />limits. (Assessor Parcel No. 164-181-08. 09, PORTION OF 12, 164-182-38, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, <br />48, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 164-201-01, 02, 06, 08, 09, 164-202-09, 35, 46, 49, 50, 51, 52, <br />164-281-01, 02, PORTION OF 9, PORTION OF 11) ("Subject Site") should be amended; and <br />WHEREAS, as referenced in the attached Exhibits, the Planning Commission has <br />determined that the proposed general plan amendment and zone change are consistent with the <br />goals and policies of the City of Colton General Plan, are in the best interests of the City's <br />general welfare and the public health and safety, and it would be in the public interest to <br />recommend approval of the requests; <br />BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Colton hereby determines that the <br />proposed general plan amendment and zone change are consistent with the goals and policies of <br />the City of Colton General Plan and are reasonably related to the public welfare of the citizens of <br />the City and the surrounding region for the reasons set forth in the attached Exhibits. <br />Section 2. The Planning Commission hereby recommends that the City Council adopt the <br />proposed resolution amending the general plan designation of the Subject Site from "Business <br />Park" to "Industrial Park." A copy of the proposed resolution is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" <br />and is incorporated herein by this reference. <br />
