FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The State grant award to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department provides <br />approximately $282,168.00, for the grant period. It is estimated Colton will be <br />reimbursed approximately $54,000.00 over the three-year program for costs in <br />conducting the agreed to events. There are no matching funds required for this grant and <br />no additional budget is required. The accompanying Resolution is required to accept this <br />Grant and to amend the 2009/2010 Fiscal Budget in the amount of $54,000.00. <br />Separate accounts will be established to track the revenue and expenditures of this Grant. <br />See attached Resolution. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />Not Applicable. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />Do not approve the department's request to accept the MOU and decline participation in <br />the Avoid the 25 Campaign. <br />CONFLICT OF INTERESTS- Gift Disclosure Requirements: <br />Not Applicable. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve the acceptance of the "Avoid the 25" <br />MOU between the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and the City of Colton <br />Police Department, and adopt the attached resolution. <br />Attachments: MOU & Resolution <br />Prepared By: B.
