City of <br />y01ton <br />Prodamation <br />NOMC11AL LIBRARY WEEK <br />:• \� <br />APRIL 19-23, 1993"LIBRARIES <br />CHANGE LIVES" <br />WHEREAS, the Colton Wman's Club wishes to join the Colton Public Library <br />+ <br />in the celebration of National Library Week, April 19-23 with the <br />there "Libraries Change Lives"; and, <br />- <br />3i <br />WHEREAS, 1993 narks 91 years of continous free library service in the City <br />mil <br />of Colton; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Colton Public Library provides resources and services central <br />to the mission of our City; and, <br />WN6RFAS, books and reading are the basic nourishment of growing minds and <br />foundation of a citizen's future, education and enrichment; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Colton Public Library is dedicated to building a more <br />literate community and its literacy programa have served the <br />educational needs of more than 500 Colton residents; and, <br />- <br />WHEREAS, libraries nationwide are celebrating National Library Week with <br />the thane "Libraries Change Lives"; and, <br />WHEREAS, in observance of this celebration, the City of Colton Library has <br />prepared for National Library Week a "Calendar of gents" for the <br />.yl <br />enjoyment and enlightenment of their patrons. <br />NOW, THEREKXRE, Z, Frank A.
