CITY OF COLTON <br />DEFINITION: <br />Under general supervision, coordinates the use of community facilities by citizen groups; <br />coordinates a variety of social, recreational and community service programs for varied age <br />groups. <br />SUPERVISION F. IV D AND EXERCISED. - <br />Receives general supervision from the Recreation Services Manager. <br />May exercise functional and technical supervision over subordinate personnel and volunteers. <br />EXAMPLE OFDUTIES: Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: <br />Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, and procedures for assigned <br />facilities and services. <br />Plans, organizes, assigns, directs and reviews the work of assigned staff and volunteers. <br />Identifies community service needs of individuals and groups, implements programs and services <br />to fulfill those needs. <br />Develops and coordinates social community service and recreational activities and programs <br />with other staff and outside agencies. <br />Responds to inquiries regarding recreation and community programs and operations and resolves <br />problems and concerns expressed by citizens and/or members of organizations. <br />Confers with individuals requiring support services and assists them as required (i.e.. completing <br />forms, referring to other services). <br />Coordinates the use of assigned community facilities, including scheduling events, explaining <br />procedures and providing for custodial and other services. <br />Researches and gathers data for periodic and special reports. Prepares oral and written reports. <br />May represent the Citv in meetings \\ith community agencies. boards and commissions. <br />Monitors developments related to conununity service matters. evaluates their impact rni the Cit\ <br />operations and recommends and implements procedural and program improvements. <br />Performs related duties as assigned. <br />
