CITY OF COLTON <br />COMMUNITY SERVICES COORDINATOR <br />w PAGE <br />QUALIFICATIONS: <br />Knowledge o8 <br />• Principles and practices of recreation and community program planning, development, <br />implementation and administration. <br />• Principles and methods of needs assessments and program evaluation. <br />• Public recreation and community trends, needs and resources. <br />• Basic principles and methods of administration including policy and procedure <br />implementation, work and program planning and work assignment. <br />• Rules and regulations pertaining to recreation and community service programs and facilities. <br />• Basic supervisory principles and practices. <br />• Available community resources for varied social service needs. <br />Ability to: <br />• Plan, assign, direct and review the work of assigned staff and volunteers. <br />• Implement goals, policies, procedures and work standards. <br />• Organize and implement multi -faceted recreation and communit% services programs and <br />activities. <br />• Identify community social service needs and problems and recommend alternative solutions. <br />• Exercise sound independent judgment within policy and procedural guidelines. <br />• Maintain accurate records <br />• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. <br />• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of <br />work. <br />• Bilinqual (English Spanish) highly desirable. <br />
