City Council Meeting of September 17, 1996 <br />First Reading of Amendment to General Plan, <br />Zone Change, and Environmental Assessment - 444 Colton Avenue <br />Page 2 <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />No immediate impact to the City General Fund. However, if the requested action is <br />denied, there is the potential of losing one of Colton's long established businesses, and <br />the so" tax revenue generated by the business. <br />ZAMORP(, Community Development Director <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None. The Planning Commission has determined that there will be no significant <br />impact to the environment, and recommends that a Negative Declaration be filed. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council accept public testimony on the proposed <br />project, and after careful consideration, accept Planning Commission Resolution R-2- <br />96, a recommendation to approve File Index Number DZG-32-96, adopt Resolution <br />Number R- -96, which amends the Colton General Plan, and approve the attached <br />Ordinance Number O- -96, amending the Zoning Ordinance. <br />DRZ/ALS/kd <br />Attachment: Planning Commission Staff Report <br />Resolutions (2) <br />Ordinance (1) <br />
