JUN -23-1997 11:18 P.10 <br />Cities have invested in some important transmission projects and transmission service <br />the last ten to enable Cities to cost effectivel in <br />contracts <br />y transmit electric power procured by Cities_ The <br />transmission projects/contracts Cities have procured are as follows: <br />4.5. I Mead -Phoenix Project and Mead-Adelanto Project <br />The projects consist of two 500 kV transmission lines; one between the Phoenix area and <br />the Las Vegas area and the second line between the Las Vegas area and the Los Angeles <br />area. The individual participation by Cities is as follows: <br />City Mead -Phoenix Mead-Adelanto <br />Azusa 3 MW 18 MW <br />Banning 3 MW 1 I MW <br />Colton 3 MW 21 MW <br />Cities have also entered into individual transmission service contracts with Los Angeles <br />Department of Power and Power (LADWP) to provide firm transmission service between <br />Adelanto and \rIctorville-Lugo transmission line to complete the path of these projects to <br />SCE's control area. Cities transmission service amounts from LADWP are the same as <br />respective Cities' Mead-Adelanto entitlement. <br />Cities are currently utilizing their full Mead -Phoenix entitlement to wheel Cities, PVNGS <br />entitlement, and partially utilizing Cities' Mead-Adelanto entitlement for short term firm <br />and non firm transactions. <br />4.5.2 Transmission Service Contract with LADWP between Palo Verde and Sylmar Substation <br />In I994, Cities have entered into separate transmission service contracts with LADWP for <br />transmission services between ;Palo Verde and Syhnar Substation to wheel portions of <br />Cities's San Juan Unit 3 entitlement. The amounts of transmission service are as follows: <br />Azusa low <br />Banning 15 MW <br />17 <br />
