HUMAN RESOURCE ANALYST CITY OF COLTON <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />• Assists in the preparation of City property damage reports and prepares requests for insurance <br />restitution or subrogation. <br />• Assists in the investigations of accidents and preparation of related reports. <br />• Monitors and reports employee lost time and modified duty activitiesrelated to CaUOSHA <br />requirements, forms and documentation.. <br />• Responds to or appropriately refer questions from employees regarding insurance programs. <br />Receives claims, information, and documentation to ensure the appropriate processing of <br />liability claims. <br />• Ensures the appropriate forms are completed and procedures are followed in claims activities. <br />• Maintains safety, workers' compensation and insurance related files, documents, logs, and <br />notebooks. <br />• Assist the Fisk/Safety Analyst in the administration Of the City's general insurance programs, <br />including self and/or excess insurance, contract renewal and certificates of insurance. <br />o Performs other related duties as required. <br />WORKING CONDITIONS: <br />Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, <br />bending, squatting, and stooping in the performance of daily activities. The position also <br />requires grasping, repetitive hand movement, and fine coordination in preparing statistical <br />reports and data using a computer keyboard. Additionally, the position requires near vision in <br />reading correspondence, statistical data and using a computer, and acute hearing is required when <br />providing phone service and communicating in person. <br />QUALIFICATIONS <br />Education and/or EXperience• <br />Any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and <br />abilities necessary for a Human Resource Analyst. A typical way of obtaining the <br />required qualifications is to possess the equivalent of two years public administration, <br />human resources, or workers' compensation experience and a bachelor's degree in public <br />administration, human resources or a related field. A Workers' Compensation Certificate <br />is desirable.. <br />License/Certificate: <br />Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid class `C' California driver's license. <br />KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILLS: <br />Knowledge oft <br />Principles and practices of personnel administration including recruitment, classification <br />and compensation, benefits administration, workers' compensation, loss prevention, <br />safety program administration, and labor relations. <br />Federal, State, and City laws, rules, codes and ordinances regarding personnel <br />administration including Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity and labor <br />relations, general liability and workers' compensation claims. <br />
