�� 1.2.06 �lternative Bids--Reiection of Bids No alternative bids will be considered unless alternative bids are specifically requested. Proposals may be rejected if they show any alterations of form, additions not called for, conditional or alternative bids, incomplete bids, erasures, or irregularities of any kind. The City of Colton reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. 1.2.07 Packa.ging and Deliverv of Pro osal Guarantee Once the proposal and supporting documents herein have been completed and signed as set forth above, this bound volume shall be placed, along with the Proposal Guaranty and any proposed sketches and brochures required by these instructions, into an envelope, sealed and addressed and delivered or mailed, postage prepaid to: GE.NERAL SERVICES CITY OF COLTON b50 North La Cadena Drive Colton, CA 92324 Label the envelope in the lower left-hand corner: Bid No. PUR1-98 City of Colton, Aehabilitation of Well No. 22 The envelope shall a2so contain the bidder's return address in the upper left-hand corner. 1.2.08 Withdrawal of Proposals Bids may be withdrawn on written or telegraphic request dispatched by the bidder in time for delivery in the normal course of business prior to the time fixed for opening, provided that wtitten confirmation of any telegraphic withdrawal over the signature of the bidder is placed in the mail and postmarked prior to the time set for bid opening. The bid guaranty of any bidder withdrawing his bid, in accordance with the foregoing conditions, will be returned prornptly. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of bid opening. Bids shall be under the jurisdiction, o� and subject to final acceptance or rejection, by the Owner, until the Owner has awarded the Contract of "The Work" and written contract for performance entered into with the Owner. If said award is not made within thirty (30) days after bid opening, then all of the bids submitted are deemed to have been rejected by the Owner� and said body must then retuzn the cash� checks, or bonds, to all bidders, and can then proceed only by readvertising. 1.2-3
