zusa <br />3.4 Customization - Refers to programming or services which are done <br />for the primary use of one of the Parties. <br />3.5 Customer Service - The employees or items relating to the Customer <br />Service Division of the City of Colton Finance Department. <br />3.6 Data Center - The Data Center at the City of Azusa Light & Water <br />Administrative Facility. <br />3.7 Direct Items/Expenses - Refers to hardware, software and other items <br />or expenses directly relating to the operation of the MUIS system <br />excluding expenses associated with MUIS Staff. Direct items are <br />considered a requirement to properly operate the MUIS system. <br />These items may be billed in full or in part by the City of Azusa or <br />other providers. (i.e. Support and maintenance of Hewlett Packard <br />3000 minicomputer, PowerHouse software by Cognos.) <br />3.8 General/Operational Tasks - Refers to the MUIS Staff tasks and <br />responsibilities that are necessary to the overall proper functioning of <br />the Data Center, MUIS system and the associated Information <br />Technology Infrastructure. These tasks include implementation of <br />new hardware/software, routine maintenance, administrative <br />functions and other non -defined tasks. These tasks shall also include <br />MUIS systems programming of enhancements, upgrades or other <br />features which benefit both Parties and the MUIS system in general. <br />3.9 Implementation State - The period of time during which members of <br />the MUIS Staff are dedicated specifically to one of the Parties for the <br />purpose of Customization, testing, data conversion and <br />implementation of a complete version of the MUIS system. <br />Subsequent Implementation States may occur from time to time when <br />upgraded versions of the MUIS system are released and implemented. <br />New versions represent significant system -wide modifications and <br />upgrades and are designated by a change in the MUIS system version <br />number. Implementation States generally last several months, and <br />will in the case of upgrades, overlap the existing Operational State of <br />a previous version of the MUIS system. <br />3.10 Indirect Items/Expenses - Refers to items or expenses that are not <br />directly associated with the MUIS system but affect the proper <br />operation and usage of any of the functions of the MUIS system. <br />These items are not billed to Azusa and are handled directly by the <br />City of Colton.
