Mr. Zamora explained that <br />Edison would relocate and secure the easement. Vice -Chairperson Vilches commended Mr. <br />Reichel on his other developments but stated that there is a 7,200 square foot standard and it <br />should be abided by. He stated that he could not support the project. Commissioner Prieto <br />indicated that the Commission had worked hard to establish the standard lot size and also <br />could not support the project. Commissioner Hernandez stated that the applicant had <br />completed nice projects that have met the current standards. He indicated that, due to the <br />requested reduced lot size, he could not support the project. <br />Commissioner Suchil moved to deny File Index Numbers DZ -09-99 and DT -28-99; seconded <br />by Commissioner Prieto, motion carried. <br />Chairperson Oliva informed the applicant of the right to appeal. <br />Commissioner Suchil left the meeting at 9:35 p.m. <br />FILE INDEX NUMBER: DV -26-99 STATER BROS. MARKETS <br />Commissioner Hernandez left the dais due to a conflict of interest with DV -26-99. <br />Mr. Zamora read the staff report stating that the request is for an Environmental Assessment, <br />Design Review, Chain Link Fence Review and Major Variance to reduce landscaping by 80% <br />on a vacant 6.13 acre parcel for the construction of employee and truck/trailer parking. <br />Commissioner Prieto questioned whether there was an existing fence on the property. Mr. <br />Zamora indicated that the property was not fenced but that fencing would be installed for <br />security purposes. Discussion ensued on the proposed fencing and landscaping. <br />Public Hearing Opened <br />Scott Limbacher, Stater Bros., 21700 Barton Road, Colton, CA <br />Mr. Limbacher discussed the proposed fencing for the project. He stated that approximately <br />26,000 square feet of the property would be landscaped. <br />Public Hearing Closed <br />Vice -Chairperson Vilches moved approval of File Index Number DV -26-99 with a Negative <br />Declaration; seconded by Commissioner Chavez, motion carried. <br />Commissioner Hernandez returned to the dais. <br />4.
