August 5, 1999
Mr. Daryl J. Parrish
Assistant City Manager
City of Colton
650 N. La Cadena Drive
Colton, CA 92324
Subject: Omnitrans Passenger Amenity Program
Dear Mr. Parrish:
On August 4, 1999, the Omnitrans Board of Directors awarded a contract to Chancellor Media
Corporation to construct and maintain passenger amenities in the Cimnitrans service area. Two
proposals were submitted in response to the Request for Proposals (R_FP) released by Omnitrans
staff.
The proposal by Chancellor Media met and exceeded the requirements of the RFP. This program
will allow Omnitrans to execute and administer a program with improved amenities and increased
maintenance in our service area. We are confident this plan will project a positive image for
Omnitrans, our member entities, customers and residents alike.
We are arranging a start-up meeting with Chancellor within the next 10 days, after that meeting
Omnitrans and Chancellor will be scheduling meetings with the participating entities in this
program.
We look forward to review of this item by the Colton City Council on August 17.
If I can provide any additional information prior to scheduling a meeting, please contact me at
909-379-7153 or Patrick.Merrick@Omnitrans.org.
wncereLy,.
Vatlril errick
Stops and Stations Supervisor
C: Wendy Williams, Director of Marketing
OMNITRANS - 1700 West Fifth Street - Son Bernardino, CA 92411 - Phone 909-889-0811 - Fax 909-889-5779
Serving the communities of Chino, Chino Hills, Colton, County of San Bernardino, Fontana, Grand Terrace, Highland,
Loma Linda, Montclair, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, Rialto, San Bernardino, Upland and Yucaipa
