1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-59-99 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />3 CALIFORNIA9 INITIATING PROCEEDING FOR THE FORMATION <br />AND ANNUAL LEVY OF THE CITYWIDE LANDSCAPE <br />4 MAINTENANCE DISTRICT PURSUANT TO THE LANDSCAPING AND <br />LIGHTING ACT OF 1972. <br />5 <br />6 The City Council of the City of Colton, California does resolve as follows: <br />7 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, confirms the area known as the <br />8 Citywide Landscape & Lighting District is within the boundaries of the City of Colton-, <br />9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton may be authorized to provide for <br />10 the levy and collection of annual assessments by the County of San Bernardino under <br />11 provisions of the Landscape and Lighting Act of 1972, Part 2 (commencing with section <br />12 22500) of Division 15 of the California Streets and Highways Code (the Act); to pay for the <br />13 <br />14 improvements, operation, maintenance and services for street trees, parkways, median islands, <br />15 perimeter landscaping, open space, drainage area, entry wall, signage, concrete pathway, <br />16 street lights and all appurtenant facilities and operations related thereto. <br />17 WHEREAS, the City of Colton has retained M.B.I.A., Inc. (MFS), for the purpose of <br />18 assisting with the Formation of the Citywide Landscape Maintenance District (District), the <br />19 Annual Levy of the District, and to prepare and file a report with the District Clerk in <br />20 <br />accordance with the Act. <br />21 <br />22 NOW, THEREFORE� BE IT RESOLVED9 DETERMINED9 AND ORDERED <br />23 BY THE CITY OF COLTON9 CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />271 <br />28 <br />I <br />
