1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />di <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />WHEREAS, the Agua Mansa RMDZ is governed by the <br />Agua Manse industrial Growth Association (AMIGA) which is <br />comprised of governing officials from each of the participating <br />jurisdictions; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Ague Manse RMDZ consists of <br />approximately 10,591 acres within commercial and industrial sectors <br />and divided among five jurisdictions: Riverside County, San Bernardino <br />County, City of Colton, City of Rialto, and City of Riverside; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is requesting to include an <br />additional 1,050 acres for a total of 2,663 acres and the City of San <br />Bernardino is requesting to include a total of 14,781 acres of <br />commercial and industrial area; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Ague Manse RMDZ is designed to <br />encourage job creation through the retention and expansion of existing <br />companies as well as attraction of new industry to the zone by <br />stimulating the growth of recyclables processors and companies that <br />utilize recycled material in their manufacturing processes; and, <br />WHEREAS, the re-clesignation of the Ague Manse RMDZ, <br />to include a portion of the City of San Bernardino and new areas within <br />the City of Colton, is essential to developing local secondary materials <br />markets and to assist in meeting the landfill reduction goals; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino Economic <br />Development Agency has adopted a Strategic Economic Plan which <br />
