City of Colton
Agenda Report
Council Meeting of March 16, 1999
Page 2
requests the City Council to approve an extension of and the attached amendment to
the Consulting Services Agreement with AMG. The amendment specifically includes
pre -design and design services for Phase 11 of the Project 3-5 Storm Drain. The scope
of these services is further defined in the attachment to this report.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for Phase 11 of Project 3-5 was approved by the City of Colton and the County
of San Bernardino when the MOU was approved in 1995. $1,900,000 was transferred
from the County of San Bernardino to the City of Colton to specifically fund a portion of
Phase 11 of the Project 3-5 Storm Drain.
These funds were not budgeted for expenditure in the 1998/99 Fiscal Year Capital
Projects Budget and thus an appropriation must be approved by the City Council. The
project account previously established for Project 3-5 Phase 11 is 754-6850-6859-3890.
Upon approval of an appropriation funds will be n the aforementioned project
account.
Daryl J. Parrish, Assistant City Manager
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the following:
The Amendment to Section 2.09 of the MOU stipulating that the County of San
Bernardino will be the lead agency during the construction phase of the 3-5 Storm
Drain Project Phase 11; and
The extension of the Consulting Services Agreement with the Arrowhead Management
Group for Traffic Mitigation and Infrastructure Improvements specifically to include the
pre -design and design phases of Phase 11 of the Project 3-5 Storm Drain; and
An appropriation in the amount of the $432,000 to cover the project costsassociated
with the Consulting Services Agreement amendment to include a 10% contingency.
Attachments
