must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bidder's Bond made payable to the CITY OF COLTON for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the TOTAL AMOUNT BID per the PROPOSAL BIDDING SCHEDULE, as included herein, and must be submitted as part of the BID PROPOSAL. The successful Bidder shall be licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Business and Professions Code and shall possess a current valid Contractors License Class W at the time this Contract is awarded. The successful Contractor and his Subcontractors will also be required to possess a current, valid business license from the CITY OF COLTON. A PRE-BID CONFERENCEIJOB WALK will be held at 10:00 A.M., August 26, 1999, in the CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS of the COLTON CITY HALL, 650 North La Cadena Drive, Colton, CA. This project will be constructed in conjunction with a Water/Sewer Project concurrently Bid; a portion of the areas involved will overlap. Coordination between the various City Departments and the successful contractors for each of the projects will be very important; logistics of this coordination will be among the topics discussed at the Pre -Construction Meeting. The guidelines necessary to satisfy the Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) requirements will also be discussed. ATTENDANCE AT THE PRE -CONSTRUCTION MEETING IS NOT MANDATORY BUT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The CITY OF COLTON reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and the right to waive any irregularity and the right to take all Bids under advisement for a period of THIRTY (30) DAYS from the date of the Bid Opening.
