08-SBd-10-KP R37.4 <br />(PM R23.24) <br />EB 1-10 Entrance & Exit <br />Ramps at Mount Vernon Ave <br />Traffic Signal <br />08303 -427200 <br />District Agreement No. 8-1099 <br />COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT <br />This AGREEMENT, entered into on , is between the STATE OF <br />CALIFORNIA, acting by and through its Department of Transportation, referred to herein as <br />STATE, and <br />CITY OF COLTON, a body politic and a <br />municipal corporation of the State of <br />California, referred to herein as CITY. <br />RECITALS <br />(1) STATE and CITY, pursuant to Streets and Highways Code Sections 114 and 130, are <br />authorized to enter into a Cooperative Agreement for improvements to State highways <br />within CITY. <br />(2) STATE and CITY contemplate installing a traffic control signal and safety lighting and <br />performing roadwork on Route 10 at Mount Vernon Avenue, referred to herein as <br />"PROJECT", and desire to specify the terms and conditions under which PROJECT is <br />to be engineered, constructed, financed, and maintained. <br />SECTION I <br />STATE AGREES: <br />(1) To provide all necessary preliminary engineering and labor, materials, tools and <br />equipment for PROJECT, including plans and specifications and utility identification <br />1 <br />
