ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />There is no direct financial impact for the Letter of Commitment to be signed, as this is a <br />program funded by a grant allocation, and administered by SANBAG with representatives of <br />each involved municipality. <br />A commitment on the part of the City will involve a computer with a GIS system, staff to attend <br />the Steering Committee, and staff to update and maintain the system. These are all resources the <br />City currently has in hand. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff respectfully recommends that the City agree to commit to the following: <br />1 . To become a participant in the proposed SANBAG project; <br />2. To allow the installation of the proposed automated traffic collision analysis system to a <br />GIS based computer in the Engineering Department; <br />3. The future designation of staff to update and maintain the system, and <br />4.
