Proposition 40 will help us build stronger <br />communities by supporting much-needed improvements to our state and local neighborhood parks. <br />Proposition 40 funds are guaranteed to go to evely community, particularly those communities where <br />parks and open space are in limited supply. <br />FINANCIAL IMPA <br />Proposition 40 would enact tough accountability standards including independent annual audits, public <br />hearings and citizen reviews to ensure all funds are spent as voters intended. Proposition 40 will be paid <br />for out of State of California general fund revenues and does no include any new tax increases. <br />Proposition 40 includes annual audits and strict financial safeguards. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPA <br />There are no environmental impacts associated with the support of this resolution. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt resolution supporting the passage of Proposition 40 for California Clean Water, Clean air, Safe <br />Neighborhood Parks, and Coastal protection Act of 2002. <br />Attachment: Resolution <br />List of supporters <br />REVIEW TEAM ONLY <br />City Attorney: Finance Director: <br />City Manager: OTHER <br />
