coordinated with one another so that at least one SRO is working while <br />summer school is in session. <br />Section 3. General Provisions: Article V, Section 3, subsection C adding the following <br />to C-2: <br />2. Sworn -sixteen 10 -hour shifts per work period. <br />a. SRO's shall have an optional work schedule of five (5) days a week, nine (9) <br />hours per day as agreed by all parties. The purpose of this schedule is to <br />replicate, as much as possible, the school's calendar so as to facilitate SRO's <br />availability during school hours. <br />b. The SRO's acknowledge they will be required to attend additional school <br />functions such as dances, graduation, sporting events, etc. Scheduling and <br />compensation of such events shall be arranged between the SRO's and their <br />supervisor and may include work schedule adjustments, compensatory time, <br />or overtime. <br />Section 4. Savings Clause: <br />Should any provision of this agreement be held invalid by a court of competent <br />jurisdiction, then the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. <br />In the event the implementation of this modified SRO work schedule results in <br />unanticipated or excessive costs, the City reserves the right to cancel this modified <br />schedule prior to June 30, 2003, by providing the CPOA with thirty (30) days advance <br />written notice. <br />Section 5.
