In that capacity we aie in receipt <br />of your claim of mold and unspecified damages in your home due to the above captioned <br />incident. <br />We have now completed our investigation into your claim by receiving and reviewing <br />the departmental report. The sewage backup into your home was caused by an act of <br />vandalism, not by any action or lack of action on the part Qf the City of Colton. As a <br />courtesy to you the City hired an expert company to clean your home as a result of this <br />incident. The City of Colton did not cause the sewage backup nor did they incur any <br />liability as a result of this vandalism which caused this incident. The City also did not <br />clean your home, a company with no ties at all to the City of Colton performed this <br />activity. The City paid their billing only as a matter of public relations to you. <br />With the above in mind, we have recommended denial of your claim.
