R-94-03 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON TO APPOINT SPECIFIC <br />REPRESENTATIVES TO THE INDEPENDENT CITIES <br />RISKMANAGEMENT AUTHORITY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a member of the Independent Cities Risk <br />Management Authority ("ICRMA"), a Joint Powers Authority created pursuant to the <br />provisions of the California Government Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Amendment to Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement For Insurance <br />11 And Risk Management Purposes dated July 9, 1997, and the Risk Management Committee <br />12 by-laws require that an elected official be appointed by resolution to the Governing Board of <br />13 the Authority, an alternate the alternate may be a staff member) be appointed by resolution <br />14 to act in the primary member's absence, and a substitute alternate may be a staff person) be <br />15 appointed by resolution to act in the primary and alternate members absence; and <br />16 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does resolve as follows: <br />17 Section 1. That the City of Colton appoints City Council member Helen <br />18 Ramos must be an elected official) to serve on the Governing Board of the <br />19 Independent Cities Risk Management Authority. <br />20 Section 2. That the City of Colton appoints Dilu de Alwis, Finance Director <br />21 (may be a staff person) to serve on the Governing Board of the Independent Cities <br />22 Management Authority in the absence of the primary noted in Section 1 above. <br />24II Section 3. That the City of Colton appoints Lorraine Armstrong, Assistant <br />Finance Director (may be a staff person) to serve on the Governing Board of the <br />25 Independent Cities Risk Management Authority yin the absence of the primary and <br />26 alternate members noted in Sections 1 and 2 above. <br />27 <br />
