Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to tentatively approve77 <br />the Building & Safety Budget as recommended by Staff. Unanimous vote. <br />Planning <br />City Manager Trevino reported he and the Assistant Finance Director, Mr. Young, review- <br />ed the Planning Budget with Planning Director Aguilera. Mr. Trevino said Mr. Aguilera <br />is ill tonight, but has been notified that Staff would present his budget tonight and <br />Mr. Aguilera is in concurrence. <br />Mr. Trevino pointed out that this budget recommends downgrading of the Planning <br />Associate position to that of Planning Assistant. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to tentatively approve <br />the Planning Budget as recommended by Staff. Unanimous vote. <br />City Clerk <br />City Manager Trevino reported he and the Assistant Finance Director, Mr. Young, <br />reviewed the City Clerk's Budget with Mrs. Ramos and there is concurrence. <br />City Clerk Ramos reported the increase in the budget is due primarily to cost of <br />the 1982 General Election. Mrs. Ramos also reported that included in this budget <br />is the purchase request of an Election Ballot Counter at a cost of $3,000 and this <br />N has been proposed to be purchased through Revenue Sharing Funds. <br />(y) Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to tentatively approve <br />the City Clerk's Budget as recommended by Staff. Unanimous vote. <br />Q <br />Q City Attorney <br />City Attorney Edwards reported his budget is within a few dollars difference of last <br />year's budget. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to tentatively approve <br />the City Attorney's Budget. Unanimous vote. <br />City Council and Community Promotion <br />City Manager Trevino reported he and the Assistant Finance Director Young have re- <br />viewed this budget and recommend approval. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to tentatively approve <br />the City Council and Community Promotion budgets as recommended. Unanimous vote. <br />City Treasurer <br />City Manager Trevino reported he and Assistant Finance Director Young have reviewed <br />this budget and are in concurrence. <br />City Treasurer Berkebile stated the only increases are those of inflationary nature. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to tentatively approve <br />the City Treasurer's Budget. Unanimous vote. <br />City Manager <br />City Manager Trevino submitted his budget for Council approval. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to tentatively approve <br />the City Manager's Budget. Unanimous vote. <br />Parcnnnal <br />City Manager Trevino reported the Personnel budget shows a $2,000 decrease over-all <br />and he recommends approval. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to tentatively <br />approve the Personnel Budget. Unanimous vote. <br />Insurance <br />Council reviewed the Insurance Budget. Councilwoman Garcia recommended that the <br />Broker of Record be reviewed to determine if, in fact, the Broker is obtaining for <br />the City the best possible coverage for the least price. <br />JUL 13 1981 <br />
