Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve Resolution <br />No. 4154. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4154 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CONFIRMING CERTAIN REPORTS OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF <br />STREETS. (CHAPTER 27, DISTRICT NO. 81-23) <br />Street Vacation <br />Bordwell - Olive/"B" Sts. <br />Mayor Gonzales announced that this was the time and place fixed for public hearing <br />on Resolution No. 4147, intention to order abandonment of a portion of Bordwell <br />Avenue, Block 20, Colton Land and Water Company Subdivision. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the affidavit of publication and posting, stating <br />there were no protests or objections received. <br />Mrs. Ramos gave the staff report stating the City Council had, on October 6, <br />1981, declared the intention to order the abandonment of certain street rights- <br />of-way, on request of adjacent property owners. Mrs. Ramos stated following <br />Q those desiring speak, should Council concur, adoption of Resolution No. 4155 <br />Q ordering the abandonment would be in order. <br />Councilman Rehrer asked if staff was sure that the City would not want to reopen <br />this in the future. Councilman Rehrer stated he felt reacquisition would be very <br />costly. <br />City Engineer Wang responded, that staff was proceeding with the premise that it <br />would not be needed in the future as the right-of-way is only 33 feet wide and <br />there have been no plans made or proposal to construct a full extension of this <br />street. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to close the <br />public hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to adopt Resolution <br />No. 4155. Motion carried. Councilman Rehrer voting NO. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4155 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF <br />BORDWELL AVENUE. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Zoning Ordinance <br />Planning Director Aguilera reported that this item and recommendation is to set <br />November 17, 1981, as the public hearing date for considering a text amendment <br />to Zoning Ordinance No. 1602. Mr. Aguilera stated a full report will be presented <br />to the Council on November 17, 1981. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to set November 17, <br />1981 for public hearing on Zoning Ordinance No. 1601, Text Amendment. Unanimous vote. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Government Agencies <br />County Com. Dev. Blk. Grant <br />City Manager Trevino reported the City of Colton currently participates in a <br />City/County Cooperation Agreement, Community Development Block Grant Program and <br />a revised form of the agreement for the 1982-85 period is before the Council <br />tonight. <br />Mr. Trevino stated the Council has indicated a desire to look at City administered <br />program and for this reason the following report is presented. Mr. Trevino reported <br />the County is an entitlement jurisdiction and receives a formula share of the <br />national allocation of funds for the Block Grant Program annually. Non -entitlement <br />cities (those with less than 50,00 population) have options of whether they wish to <br />NOV 1'1981 <br />
