11 2Mr. Trevino advised the price has increased to $2,450, and it will, therefore, be <br />necessary to transfer the amount of $500 from Account #01-2101-93 to Account #01- <br />2101-92. Mr. Trevino stated if the Council Members concur, it would be in order <br />to adopt Resolution No. 4149. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve Resolution <br />No. 4149. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4149 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMEND- <br />ING THE 1981-82 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET. <br />Fire Department <br />Mr. Trevino referred to a memorandum from Fire Chief Al Teague, who was requesting ^ <br />Council's consideration and approval to exchange the old Life Pak 4 with the Red- <br />lands Fire Department for a charging system for the Life Pak 5. <br />Mr. Trevino advised he has discussed this matter with the City Attorney, who ad- <br />vises this would be a perfectly legitimate transaction if both entities agree. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve and authorize <br />the exchange of the old Life Pak 4 with the Redlands Fire Department for a charging <br />system for the Life Pak 5 as requested by the City's Fire Department. Unanimous <br />vote. <br />Personnel <br />Mr. Trevino advised that the Electrical Utility Director Gale Drews is request- <br />ing Council's consideration and approval to set a public hearing to amend the <br />City's Pay and Classification Plan to include the position of Electrical Stores - <br />Maintenance Person for the Electric Department. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded <br />Hearing on Thursday, October 22, 1981, <br />Pay and Classification Plan to include <br />Maintenance Person. Unanimous vote. <br />Sewers <br />by Councilman Rehrer, to set for Public <br />at 7:30 p. m., amendment to the City's <br />the position of Electrical Stores - <br />Mr. Trevino recommended the City Council consider setting a public hearing to <br />consider the last quarter, for this year, of sewer connection allocations. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to set for Public Hearing <br />on Tuesday, November 3, 1981, at 7:30 p. m., the quarterly sewer connection alloca- <br />tions. Unanimous vote. <br />Pete Luque Center <br />Mr. Trevino reported that the addition to the Pete Luque Center has progressed well <br />and the contractor is now finished, however, additional cost were incurred and in- <br />volve three change orders, one for a credit of $601.44, and the other two as debits <br />in the amounts of $924.99 and $4,301, which are minor compared to the size of the <br />job. <br />Mr. Trevino advised the Office of Community Development has approved these Change <br />Orders and Staff requests that the City Council also concur. <br />Mr. Trevino concluded Staff recommends the City Council approve an additional amount <br />of $4,624.55 for the Change Orders on the Pete Luque Center addition. <br />Councilman Rehrer questioned the amount of 350 lineal feet of steel for handrails <br />as outlined in Change Order #3. <br />Mr. Henry Wilson, General Contractor, 2894 Etiwanda Avenue, Rialto, stated the amount <br />for the handrails also included labor and other materials. Mr. Wilson stated the <br />handrails include a top rail, center rail, horizontal and vertical rails, and there- <br />fore the need for that amount of steel. <br />Councilman Rehrer also questioned the extra work for the ramp, and asked if this work <br />was not obvious when the job was bid. <br />Mr. Wilson stated that he bids jobs according to what is on the plans and the specs, <br />if the plans had called for steps, he would have bid the job with the steps included, <br />or the ramps as well. <br />Councilwoman Garcia stated in other words, this Change Order came about because this <br />item was not orginally in the plans and specs. <br />OCT 61981 <br />
