Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve first reading of Ordinance No. 1625. Unanimous vote. ORDINANCE NO. 1625 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING ORDINANCE First Reading NO. 1602, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN ZONE RECLASSIFICATIONS. Zoning P. C. Resolution No. 1041 Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavits of Publication and reported that no objections or protests had been received. Planning Director Aguilera reported that the City Council approved the General Plan on December 15, 1981, and at that time instructed staff to create zones and regulations for those new General Plan designations of "Industrial Park," "Business Park," "Multi -Use Corridor," and Agricultural." The Planning Commission reviewed these new designations, held a public hearing and agreed with the proposed zones and changes as shown on the attached ordinance. Mr. Aguilera recommendedthe first reading of Ordinance No. 1626. Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. ORDINANCE NO. 1626- AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE First REading NO. 1602, AND CHAPTER 18 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ESTABLISHING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR ZONING AND LAND USE. Alley Paving Chapter 27, Dst. 81-24 227 JUL r 1S82 Zoning P. C. Resolution No. 1038 Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no objections or protests had been received. Planning Director Aguilera reported this is a prezoning on Annexation South 40, and the property in question contains approximately 153 acres of vacant and industrially used land. The property is surrounded on three sides by Industrial zoning in San Bernardino County and Riverside County with residential zoning to the east in the city. Planning Director Aguilera stated that is it proposed N that the easterly portion of the project be zoned "Industrial Park" and the westerly portion be zoned "General Industrial" in conformance with the City's and County's General Plans.
