228 <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported that no <br />objections or protests had been received. <br />Joe McGee, Director of Community Services, reported that the grading and <br />paving for the alley between Rancho Avenue and Fourth Street and "N" <br />and "0" Streets was completed on June 9, 1982, at a total cost of $1,845.63. <br />Mr. McGee stated that staff sent all required notices to affected property <br />owners and approval of Resolution No. 4228 is recommended. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to terminate <br />the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to <br />approve Resolution No. 4228. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4228 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON CONFIRMING CERTAIN REPORTS OF THE SUPERINTEN- <br />DENT OF STREETS. (CHAPTER 27, DISTRICT NO. 81-24). <br />Weed Abatement <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos reported no objections or protests were received. <br />Community Services Director Mc Gee reported that Rick's Tractor and Discing <br />the weed abatement contractor, has satisfactorily completed the annual pro- <br />ject with a total of 387 parcels abated at a cost of $21,971.39. <br />Staff recommended adoption of Resolution No. 4229. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to terminate the <br />Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to adopt <br />Resolution No. 4229. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4229 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE STREET SUPERINTENDENT ON <br />COST OF ABATING NUISANCE. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Acting City Manager Elliott stated that a request for the use of Fleming <br />Park on Thursday, July 8, 1982, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. had been made by <br />Tino Carrasco. Mr. Elliott recommended approval with certain conditions -- <br />that cost be paid for manpower to turn on the electricity and supply the <br />audio system. <br />Councilman Rios asked if this is the common practice, that the user has to <br />pay to use the facility. Acting City Manager Elliott stated that if the <br />P.A. system and electricity are not used, there are no costs. <br />Mr. Tino Carrasco wanted to know what the fees would be for the use of the <br />park for a proposed concert. He stated that he will need a P.A. system. <br />City Manager Elliott stated that the cost would be for personnel, probably <br />one maintenance man who would have to get there early and get the equipment <br />hooked up. The maximum time would probably be 2 to 212 hours. Mr. Elliott <br />stated that he could not give Mr. Carrasco a rate at this time but he would <br />be able to give Mr. Carrasco the costs on the following day. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios to approve the <br />request by Tino Carrasco for the use of Fleming Park on July 8, 1982, for a <br />concert, as recommended by Staff.
