Motion carried with <br />Mayor Huntoon abstaining. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Proclamations <br />Mayor Huntoon read in full a Proclamation declaring the month of May, <br />1983, as SOIL STEWARDSHIP MONTH. <br />Resolutions <br />Mayor Huntoon read in full a Resolution of Commendation honoring <br />Greg Turner, Fire Fighter Paramedic, for his service to the com- <br />munity and the Colton Fire Department. The Resolution was accept- <br />ed by Fire Fighter Turner. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Zoning <br />Ord. No. 1643 <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and re- <br />ported that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Planning Director Aguilera reported on the Zone Change requested <br />by William J. and Helen W. West, from R-1 to R-1/PC on approximate- <br />ly 15 acres of vacant land located in the La Loma Hills area, on the <br />southwest corner of Bostick and Litton Avenues, to develop 66 dwell- <br />ing units for a proposed density of 4.2 units per acre, allowing a <br />mixed -type use with single-family dwellings as well as condominium <br />type development. <br />MAY 7 I°33 <br />
